Greeting to AmaCabal Amahle and welcome to the relaunch of our website. The last two years have been nothing short of inspiring in how we have revived and reenergized our brand. From the weekly Saturday morning clubs runs, which in winter were laced with the promise of coffee and cake after the runs, to the idea of having what in running jargon is referred to as busses at select races. This has helped market the club and ensured that we make our presence felt.
Praise must go to our former chairlady whose guidance, insights and vision carved a path to what we now experience. There has been a lot of people whose tireless efforts and commitment has brought us here, Coach Bheki for planning our club runs, and at times being chided particularly during the Peggy Vera or Military routes, perhaps a touch of sadism in our coach! The marketing team, TK and Bongie has ensured that members are engaged and informed about club activities,
Importantly we would like to welcome all our new members to Soweto Cabal. We promise you that ‘what you see is what you get’, we are unassuming, fun, serious about our running and aim to help all members reach their running goals.
A word of gratitude to members who in their small and albeit special way ensure that we are a diverse and engaging group. Thank you as well to all members who sacrifice their training to help with providing support during our club runs, the committee for keeping things chugging along and the many unsung heroes in this club who go about contributing quietly without seeking praise or acknowledgement. We are truly indebted to all of you. We will post a monthly blog and keep or social pages as active as we possibly can.
